We believe debating is incredibly useful to quickly build rhetorical skills and learn how to listen to others. At formal tournaments, presentation is irrelevant, and participants try to address a jury. Our custom debating format is centred around convincing an ordinary audience to vote in favour or against a proposal in next week's hypothetical referendum. Our participants still speak for an extended amount of time (3-4 minutes), but only address an ordinary audience.
