Introduction
Centerpartiets Ungdomsförbund (CUF) is the youth wing of Sweden’s Center Party. Founded in 1919 as Svenska Landsbygdens Ungdomsförbund (SLU), it adopted its present name in 2004.
Organisation
CUF is a federal organisation with 21 regional districts and hundreds of local clubs. Its national congress elects the Förbundsordförande (President), three Vice-Presidents, and the Board. A permanent Secretariat in Stockholm, headed by a Secretary-General, supports campaigning and member services.
International work
CUF is a full member of the IFLRY, LYMEC, and Nordic Center Youth (NCF). Delegates regularly attend IFLRY General Assemblies and LYMEC Congresses, and CUF alumni are active in Liberal International and CIS democracy programmes. Recent focus areas include youth employment, carbon pricing, and defending liberal democracy against populism.
